That time of year again....

Well it is that time of year again and we are frantically trying to figure out how to make Christmas work this year! It is so hard to even make ends meet when you are both unemployed! But good news....I may have finally landed a great job. It is working with the handicapped kids out at Snake River Junior High. They called me in as a sub and I guess I was a hit because now I am out there twice a week (would be 4 times but I have school!) And I was talking to the lady about it the other day and she said that they are wanting to make a position out of it but they have to wait for the main lady to get back, and she will be back in January, then they will introduce me to her and hopefully **fingers crossed** I will get hired on for the days that I am not in school!

Other news...while out at this job I was flying one of those huge kites and well wasn't expecting it to lift me up and I went for a ride and it dropped me and I landed on my hip and tore a tendon on the inside. I went to the chiropractor and now I can walk with only a slight limp which is good but it will probably take 6 months to completely heal!!

Katreenas step-grandma has been sending us clothes and clothes and more clothes and this year we didn't have a winter coat for Katreena so she sent us two really nice winter coats for Katreena and we are so excited to get to go out and play in the snow in them! They are size 3T and 4T. I can't believe my baby is that big already!! I want another one but now is just not the right time!

I have also been baking. It is so much fun to make pies, although I think pies are disgusting so I havent tried any of them yet! But Kyle says they are yummy! So I think that I will be giving out pies to people for Christmas since I won't get a paycheck from my work till January 20! I am just hoping and praying that I find something that I can do to earn some extra cash before Christmas I really don't want my baby to miss out! Well anyways here are some new pictures!!

Thought I should post.....

I have been neglecting making a post for quite a while! So here is an update! I got Katreena signed up for secret santa so she will be able to have a christmas this year. I am planning to make some candies for christmas presents but I have to be 100% healthy before I can do it and so far I am running out of time!!! My mom bought Katreena some new clothes a few weeks ago and I am going to post some pictures of those.

She is getting so big!! SHe can now sing Itsy Bitsy Spider, If Your Happy and You Know It, and Patty Cake. It is so cute. Right now she is absolutely in love with her Uncle Dalton and if he isn't over she is always asking about him. Right now she is sitting next to him on the couch copying everything that he does. It is so cute!! She now tells us what to do and what she is going to eat. She has got quite the little attitude! We are 100% into the barbie and baby doll phase. She loves to take her baby dolls and put their blankies on them and pat their back till they go to sleep. She will also spank them when they are naughty and that is so cute because she swats them then puts her little pointer finger up and says "No!" I absolutely love this stage. Besides the fact that she is getting to heavy to lift!! She is very independent now and loves to pick out her own clothes and put them on. Although it isn't always the right way.

School is going good almost done for hte semester. Only 10 more days left till Christmas breaks (10 more Tuesday and Thursdays that is). Next semester we will have an even shorter class time. We will be going on Tuesdays and Thursdays again and will be there from 9:30 to 2:15 so it won't be to bad! I am excited to get some new classes though! Sociology is getting super boring! And all the dates to memorize for Anthropolgy classes is getting overwhelming! Almost done though! Well that is an update on our lives!

I love this one! She was playing in the water and turned around all of a sudden and yelled Dillon clear as day! It was her first time saying her uncles name! We still don't know why she related playing in the water to Dillon.

These are pictures from our trip to Bear Lake this year. We went to Garden City and golfed, and to the Minnetonka caves, and of course to the lake. It was an absolute blast!!!

Well as most of you know I will be attending a walk in August for ALS as the East Idaho Sponsor. I need support though! Family Pictures '09

ok so we had our family pictures taken a couple nights ago.......HERE IS THE PREVIEW......I love them they turned out awesome let me know what everyone thinks!!!!

All of these pictures are from our last weekend. Some of the playhouse, which is farther in progression now, Katreena playing in my barbie house which she loves! and working out in my moms yard, she loved the mulch. The wagon one and the baby animal ones are a little bit older but I can't figure out his whole blog site thing so I did my best to get them to look good. Haha I am not like most of you and I can't figure out how to make my blog look cute...any suggestions? OR anyone bored I will give you my user name a password if you'll make it look cute! Anyways hope everyone enjoys!

Update on our lives

YAY Summer is finally here! It is so nice to be able to take Katreena outside and let her run around, she absolutely loves it! She loves to go outside with her dog "duhdee" as she calls him which is pretty good for a 14 month olds language since his name is Dusty. Kyle is getting her playhouse closer to being done and I am so excited to see it completely done. She already loves to go in it. She also loves her sand box but the last wind storm we had the lid flew off and I am not sure if the cats got into it so I am going to have to replace the sand, which is ok because I really wanted pink sand to begin with. Yesterday we went out to my moms house and helped her with her back yard, we had to put plastic lining down and spread mulch and Katreena sat right on top of the pile of mulch and swung her arms back and forth throwing the mulch every where and because it is dyed red she got red really quickly and made a huge mess of herself, so then she got to have her fist ever shower. I threw her in my moms walk in shower and turned it on. She didn't like it much. But atleast she was clean for a few minutes before we went up to town and got ice cream. I think that she is getting her two bottom eye teeth and she has been kinda cranky and whiny lately so hopefully it will pass soon.

We are looking for a new car because Kyle and I are going to be both going to school full time in the fall and our car just has to many problems to risk keeping it. So today we went and test drove a Pontiac Grand Prix 2005 and it was super nice, on star and everything, we will find out tomorrow morning if we get it. I can't wait but I am nervous that we won't get approved, but hopefully it does go through I am so sick of car shopping.

Kyles mom has these cute little kittens and Katreena loves them, I really want to get one for her, but Kyle says no way. He says we only need one cat at a time so if anyone knows anyone who wants a kitten let me know. They are very very very cute and very playful!

Well that is all that is going on for us right now....hopefully I will get some pictures to post soon! Maybe later tonight I will be able to go take some pictures of the playhouse!

Baby Animal Day

This weekend we had to opportunity to go to Baby Animal Day at the fairgrounds. It was a lot of fun. Katreena did everything from learning to milk a cow to petting an Albino Burmese python. She loves snakes.....I guess she did get some of my traits!! These are some pictures of that day!

My little super star

I really wish that I had pictures of this! I was required to go to the Danson production at ISU for my Survey of Dance class and couldn't find a babysitter so my mom, me and Katreena all went together. Katreena was very good for the performance and only made a little noise throughout the whole thing I was in shock, but the best part was when it was time for intermission. She had been sitting so good for over an hour that I decided to let her down to play on the floor (which in this auditorium was the stage) and there was music playing and she got down and just started to dance. Not only that but she was actually trying to do what the dancers had done on the previous dance like scooting around on the floor. She did her happy feet dance and her bouncy dance it was freaking cute!! The people who stayed in the auditorium thought it was great, my dance teacher even came in to watch her and said that I have a future dancer on my hands which is what I have always wanted! Everyone laughed and applauded at her and of course she just sucked it all in! It was great I just wish that I had a movie of it all! Aren't kids cute!!??

Bleh

Well there is only two more weeks of school and I can't wait!!! My classes are way freakin hard! I feel really yucky and just want to sleep! Katreena is even more active every day but lucky me she will sleep for 3 hours in the afternoon so that I can sleep to. That is very nice. My house is a wreck but hey my yard is looking better! That is what this blog is meant to be about. We had our friend come over with his skidsteer and he leveled out and lowered it about a foot. Not only that but we cut down our two apple trees and will be cutting down the pear tree in the back. I am very excited for that! Kyle wants to cut the pear tree down just enough that we can put a picnic table on top of it. We also put in a fire pit that is big enough for all of our friends to get around and make s'mores. Behind the face in the other half of our yard we took down around 100 trees and also lowered and leveled it. Plus we put a HUGE mound in the middle of it so that we can plant grass on it and plant trees around the perimeter of it and have our own little private park area on top. It will be awesome I am excited! Everyone should stop by sometime and see it....oh and as for the playhouse...it is in the shop right now but hopefully in the next few days Kyle will be able to move it outside so that we can finish it for Katreena to play in. Well thats whats going on in our lives right now!!

Quick Trip to California

Well as many people know, we went to California this weekend. We drove on Friday, stayed Saturday and drove back on Sunday. It was alot of fun but I do wish that is was for a different reason and that we would have had enough time to do more things. We went because my Great-aunt Judy, who has been sick for quite a while, has taken a turn for the worse and we wanted to make sure that we got to see her. She was very excited to see us and we got to spend alot of time just visiting with her. I know everyone is wondering about Katreenas first easter and yes we did do stuff. The weirdest thing, when we got up on Easter morning there were these bright colored rocks all over the back yard and up the trail to my aunts house, and yes we had to investigate. Katreena went out there and picked every single one up, and a few boring rocks, and believe it or not there was candy in some of those eggs, she thought that was great. We forgot the easter basket at our house so we will give that to her tomorrow morning. Well here are some of the pictures from the trip. I wish we were still there it is way to cold here!!!
